Transtar hosts top-shelf night at Powertrain Expo

Professionals from all aspects of the transmission repair industry gathered in Las Vegas this year for the annual ATRA Powertrain Expo. The event featured a variety of management and technical seminars, as well as a busy trade show floor with nearly 90 exhibitors. While lights are always bright in Vegas, during these four days at the Rio, it was Transtar who really shined.

As an industry leader, Transtar had a strong and vibrant presence throughout the week, highlighted by a cocktail reception it sponsored on the second night of the expo. The evening provided nearly 1,000 attendees – from vendors and suppliers to shop owners and technicians – an opportunity to celebrate their successes from the past year. Transtar made sure it was a memorable bash for everyone.

“Transtar outdid themselves this year,” said Blake Lunsford, a member of the ATRA board of directors and co-owner of Nationwide Transmission in Fayetteville, N.C. “It was a beautiful evening out, with a poolside setting, good entertainment, excellent food and cocktails.

“It was a top-shelf event,” Lunsford continued. “You really feel like Transtar appreciates each and every person that’s there. And I believe they do. Transtar understands where their business comes from – the people out there in the trenches every day. Putting on the cocktail reception is their way of saying thank you.”

Lunsford also complimented Transtar for its presence on the show floor, with its unmistakable booth splashed in the company’s signature orange and positioned at the hall’s entrance.

“Transtar had a professionally done booth, a very professional atmosphere,” said Lunsford. “They do a good job, and their people are knowledgeable. Transtar is a leader in the industry in parts distribution, and when it comes to supporting the industry, they do a fantastic job.”

From the booth to the cocktail reception, the Powertrain Expo was a positive experience for everyone from Transtar who participated, said Stephanie Cargill, Transtar marketing communications manager.

“The show was a huge success for all involved,” Cargill said. “For us, the Powertrain Expo is a great opportunity to continue making connections and further strengthen our relationships with our customers. Plus, we are always proud to support the ATRA in its showcase event, and we look forward to continuing to do so.”

Said Lunsford: “As an ATRA board member and as a shop owner, it’s a secure feeling knowing Transtar is there.”
