Vehicles using this part number MUST have the shift-adapt relearn procedure performed at a Volkswagen dealer using VW factory OEM equipment. ALL installations require a 40-50 mile stop & go drive cycle to properly relearn the shift adapts. This must be completed prior to releasing the vehicle back to the customer.
In the event of a warranty, a receipt from the VW dealer may be requested by the warranty department as proof that this procedure was performed. If this proof is not presented upon request, the warranty is VOID.
