Transtar now carries the Shift Kit® from Transgo for the Volkswagen 01M applications, years 1995 to 2004. This kit includes the aluminum threaded end plug to replace the OEM plastic plug that typically breaks. The Shift Kit® helps to correct poor lockup, and poor 1-2 shifting.
