Power Transfer Units (PTUs)
Transtar now carries Ford Power Transfer Units (PTU) for replacement in several vehicles and model applications. The PTU is an all-wheel drive (AWD) transfer case used in cars and sport utility vehicles. It allows for power to all four wheels either part time or full time, and also varies how much power goes to the front and rear by specific driving conditions.
Details:

PTU’s have a tendency to overheat and fail.

They cannot be rebuilt due to the damage that is done to them when they overheat.

Transtar carries new OEM units from Ford.

These items do not have a core charge and are COMPLETELY NEW UNITS.
