Transtar Limited Warranty
New Products
All new parts that are distributed by Transtar Industries Inc. (“Company”) are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of purchase, whichever occurs first, with the following exclusion:

Electrical products (new solenoids & switches): The Company does not offer any Warranty on electrical products, and returns are not permitted.
Any manufacturer, third-party, extended warranties, or limited lifetime warranties, should be handled through the manufacturer.
Remanufactured Products
Hard Parts

All reman hard parts that are distributed by Transtar Industries Inc. (“Company”) are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of purchase, whichever occurs first.
Torque Converters

RECON™ Certified Torque Converters carry a limited Warranty of 48 months or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
Our obligation under this Warranty is limited to replacing or crediting the original purchase price of any part found to be defective.

Used and quality-inspected parts are sold as-is with no warranty. Product should be thoroughly inspected prior to installation
Air Conditioning Products
Standard Limited 12 Month, 12,000 Mile Warranty

The Standard Limited Warranty covers any air conditioning product (A/C Product) that is purchased from Transtar Industries which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship as long as the A/C product is used normally and in accordance with the purposes it was designed for.

This Standard Limited Warranty is valid ONLY if you are the original purchaser of the A/C product and may not be transferred.

This Standard Limited Warranty does not cover labor, towing, or rental car charges, which are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Lifetime Limited Warranty, Including Labor

The Lifetime Limited Warranty covers any A/C Product that is purchased from Transtar Industries which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship as long as the product is used normally and in accordance with the purposes it was designed for.

This Lifetime Limited Warranty is valid ONLY if you are the original purchaser of the A/C Product and may not be transferred.

This Lifetime Limited Warranty does not cover towing or rental car charges, which are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

The Lifetime Limited Warranty covers the cost of labor to remove, repair, or replace the defective A/C Product up to an aggregate amount of $100 per claim.

To initiate a Lifetime Limited Warranty claim for labor, please send the following documents via email to your salesperson or aclabor@transtar1.com.

Original Purchase Invoice to ensure a Compressor purchased with Accumulator or Receiver Dryer; and Orifice Tube or Expansion Valve.

Original Repair Invoice with proof of system flush or inline filter replacement.

The A/C Product must be installed with a compressor; accumulator or receiver dryer; and orifice tube or expansion valve.

System flushed must be performed or inline filter must be installed and documented on the customer’s original repair invoice.

Original purchase invoice of parts and original repair invoice are required.

What the Company Warranty does not cover:

Removal, repair, installation labor costs, and towing related to a defective part.

Parts Damage due to accident, misuse, alteration, lack of maintenance, or improper installation.

Vehicle damage due to improper installation of product.
Complete (Remanufactured) Transmission Units
Complete (Remanufactured) Transmission Units (“Units”) are covered by a limited Warranty (“Warranty”), offering three levels of protection:

Standard Protection: 18-month/18,000-mile nationwide Warranty, Labor rate up to $60/hr*, capped at $250.

Premium Protection: 36-month/100,000-mile nationwide Warranty, Labor rate up to $75/hr*, capped at $500.
-
Ultimate Protection: 36-month/500,000-mile nationwide Warranty, Labor rate up to $95/hr*, capped at $1,000.
This Warranty is solely and exclusively for the specific Unit installed in the vehicle and is transferable from the original retail purchaser, to legitimate subsequent owner(s) of the vehicle residing and operating such vehicle within the United States; the Warranty coverage date and mileage calculation begins from the date and mileage of the original installation.
Repair, replacement or transfer does not extend the Warranty beyond the original period. All warranties are transferable and include fluid reimbursement.
The Company will repair, replace or refund the original purchase price of the Unit, at its sole option and discretion, if the Unit is found to be defective in design, materials, or workmanship, subject to the following terms, conditions, and limitations:

This Warranty covers all eligible parts, fluid, and labor at approved labor rates, any cost over and above the stated capped amount are the responsibility on the vehicle owner.

This Warranty does not cover failure due to improper installation or repair, unauthorized disassembly, abuse, misuse, contamination, modification of Unit and/or vehicle (beyond original design limits), lack of proper maintenance, neglect, accident, vandalism, overheating, use of vehicle in competition, racing events, off-road, commercial, fleet or business purposes or other than originally intended or authorized, or any other condition other than defect in design, materials or workmanship.

The Unit must undergo an initial Check-Up by the designated Installer within fifteen (15) days after installation, in order to keep this Warranty in effect.

This Warranty does not cover parts or components that are replaced as part of normal maintenance, cosmetic, or parts or components related to, but not part of, the Unit (including damage to the Unit that may be caused by those related parts or components).

To the extent allowed by law, damages are limited to the original purchase price. Loss of time or income, inconvenience, cost to return the vehicle/transmission to the designated installer, towing, storage, loss of use of the vehicle, rental, fuel, telephone, travel, meals or lodging, commercial loss, injury to person or property, damages to other related/unrelated parts, and incidental, special, punitive, liquidated and consequential damages are not covered by this Warranty.

Exclusions: The Ultimate Warranty Protection is not offered on transmissions utilized in vehicles (whether privately, corporately, or government owned) which are utilized in whole or in part for a commercial purpose or for the preservation or furtherance of public health and safety, including without limitation, passenger vehicles used for hire, reward or commercial use, public safety vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks or police cars, fleet vehicles, taxicabs, vehicles used for public transportation, transit buses, snowplows, or vehicles used for contract or common carriage. In addition to the above exclusion, the Ultimate Warranty Protection is not offered on any privately owned passenger vehicle which is taken off-road. Transmissions of the Saturn CVT, Volkswagen Eurovan, Toyota U-660 E Transmissions and NV-5600 Series in Dodge Diesel applications are also specifically excluded from the Ultimate/Premium Warranty Protection.
Limitations and exclusions
The manufacturer and distributor do not authorize any person to create for them any other obligation or liability in connection with its products. This is the only Warranty the Company makes. Any implied warranty applicable to these parts is limited in duration to the same time period of time as this written Warranty. The Company shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, special, or contingent damages which might occur as a result of a breach of this written or implied Warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on length of an implied warranty, and some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may or may not apply.
This Warranty applies only to Transtar customers
The Company will repair or replace any defective part as described, but reserves the right to inspect the part to determine if it is truly a defective item. The Company obligation under this Warranty is limited to replacing or crediting the original purchase price of any part found to be defective. This is the only Warranty the Company makes.
Cataloging
All catalogs have been compiled from reliable sources of information; however we cannot assume responsibility for errors. All parts are intended as replacement parts only. There is no intent to represent any part as from an original equipment manufacturer.
Products are not intended for retail; the parts are packaged and intended for professional installation with the proper tools and training. The Company recommends that all products are installed by an automotive professional, with the proper tools and training.
